I loved all the Japanese Irises growing on the edge of this water feature in the Botanical Garden of St. Louis. The color of the water, the plank walkway built out into the water, and the view on the far shore all make this a perfect 20x24 painting.
This is an 8x10 landscape begun in the John Poon Workshop and finished later that year. The little stream begins up in higher elevations and it winds its way into the area with trees where the ground levels out.
This is my back yard early one Sunday morning as the light was streaming through the trees at dawn. I ran back in the house to get my camera a get a quick shot. That picture turned into this lovely 22x28 painting.
Lovely lavender mountains beneath a beautiful blue sky set the tone for this landscape. The animals are happily grazing or resting on the spring green grass. This 8x10 was fun to paint.
This 9x12 was begun in a workshop that I took under John Poon and finished later that year. It is an 9x12 original oil on canvas. I spent many hours getting the colors just right and applying what I had learned in the workshop.
